Electrical work is invisible once the walls are closed. That is exactly why shortcuts are so tempting and so expensive later.
Overloaded circuits
Running too many high-draw appliances on one circuit causes nuisance tripping at best and overheating at worst. Loads should be planned, not discovered.
Poor earthing
Inadequate earthing is one of the most common and most dangerous faults we find during inspections. It only becomes visible when something goes wrong.
Unlabelled distribution boards
An unlabelled board turns a five-minute fault isolation into an hour of guesswork. Labelling costs nothing at installation time.
- Plan circuits around real loads
- Use correctly rated protection devices
- Never leave joints outside junction boxes
- Label every circuit clearly
- Test and document before handover
